In the Fall of 2013 UCR hosted the ChainLink’s Annual Convention – a three-day conference for 300+ retail real estate brokers from across the nation. Kendall led all event branding and logistics. She:
- Managed a $200,000 event budget,
- Negotiated contracts with 30+ vendors, including hotel room blocks and hotel food, beverage, and AV contracts,
- Contracted with and lead logistics for motivational Speaker Daymond John and comedian Michael Loftus,
- Led planning and coordination for four custom, city-wide bus tours,
- Produced a fun and festive welcome party with a live band, photo booth, tequila bar, keg carts, a Texas-themed menu, and more.
In addition to event logistics, Kendall drove the creative vision and branding for the event. Along with a team of talented graphic designers, Kendall and her team:
- Developed brand for the event; worked with a graphic design firm to produce custom event materials, including branded napkins, signage, name tags, welcome boxes, menu cards, email templates, etc.
- Produced a 35-page convention handbook that included an itinerary, area/retailer profiles, and biographies of speakers highlighted on each bus tour, and suggested itineraries for guests staying the weekend in Dallas.
- Produced custom branded welcome “survival kits” featuring locally sourced, Texas-themed snacks and beverages.
